Arizona oversize permits can involve travel time restrictions, holiday blackouts, city jurisdiction issues, and route-specific limitations based on weight, width, or height. Add in county roads or mine access roads, and the legal path on paper may still need field verification. Overhead utility lines, unmarked shoulder drop-offs, and temporary road conditions can all affect execution.
Escort requirements also matter. That can add time, but sometimes it is still faster than trying to permit around a bad configuration.
Securement is just as load-specific. Tie-down points on older mining support equipment are not always ideal, and some units need cribbing, blocking, or custom securement planning to keep everything stable over long Arizona distances.
